I was honoured to be asked to write a song - Find Your Way Back Home - to support the fundraising for an amazing new building in New Zealand. It’s called HomeGround and is being developed by the Auckland City Mission to create a path for many of our people to find their way back home.
I was so grateful to have the talent and support of my Fleetwood Mac bandmates Stevie, Christine and Mike, along with my son Elroy and fellow Kiwi singer Georgia Nott, to help me make this recording.
Stream the song here with all royalties going to the Mission.
I have always been aware of how important the City Mission is in our community, representing and supporting every day the homeless people of Auckland. Now more than ever, as we shelter in place I am reminded that everyone deserves to have a home where they can feel safe and be well.
I hope you enjoy this recording of Find Your Way Back Home. To find out more about the incredible building or make a donation, go to Auckland City Mission: Homeground.

Hi to all you supporters of Fangradio,
What began as a spontaneous and fun diversion for difficult times has developed into a spontaneous and fun diversion for difficult times, albeit with a few more interested listeners tuning in. I figure the same approach should work now as we swing into a new phase.
I have had a couple of weeks to concentrate on new songs. It really works getting into a pattern and turning up everyday, good progress has been made, trying to be playful and judicious at the same time… that’s the ticket. Meanwhile, we repackaged the shows to keep a daily presence, quite listenable I would say from the margins… so many songs, I added a few harmonies as I was doing some IDs. Did you spot them?
I have also had time to ponder what is realistic and productive in order to keep this show on the road. I will focus my attention on producing two shows a week. One will be midweek 3pm Tuesday afternoon PT (Wednesday morning for the antipodes) and one on Saturday 3pm PT (Sunday morning for the antipodes.)
Also…... The people who know about such things (Jeremy, Clay, Elizabeth, Breanna) have managed to introduce new ways for you to receive these shows. I will leave it to them to list the options that now exist.
Tuesday will be broadcast from my place, more or less solo. I have a new (old) piano which opens up some good possibilities. Saturday will be broadcast from Liam’s studio (iso 2) with an ensemble on hand. This coming Saturday, Sharon will make her proper debut in the Fangradio band. That's going to be a cracker!
Hope you join us for whatever comes along, a plan is only as good as it lasts but the spirit remains strong!
Love and best wishes to you all
Neil

Crowded House… We are a band that was supposed to be on stages very soon in Europe and beyond, but has now accepted the new reality. However housebound, we are still seeking connection. So, in the meantime, the internet provides a chance to play a few of our songs for you, that seems most welcome and joyous, a good way to rehearse and perform, send some best wishes out your way.
Here’s Something So Strong, a few more to follow, enjoy.

On the occasion of the 33rd anniversary (plus one week) of Crowded House reaching #2 in the American charts, I’d like to post this video of us performing individually from home a version of Don’t Dream It’s Over. We recorded it over a few hours between continents last week. It was for the "Music From The Front Line" benefit concert in Australia / NZ. I really like the way it sounds and the process of flying tapes back and forth was fun… pure and simple… hope you enjoy too.

Hi everyone,
Most of you will have had some involvement with Fangradio by now, many have tuned in every day it seems. It’s been great to play music everyday and help to span a bit of distance that we are currently experiencing. I have reached into the deep recesses of my brain to recover lost chords and words and nuances in songs that have been hibernating for years, good for my brain, and even the occasional epic failure of recall can be thrilling for the nerve endings.
However, as I have announced on Fangradio this last Monday, I am taking a 2 week break from live sessions to enable some concentrated work on the new Crowded House album.
In the meantime, Jeremy at NeilFinn.com and Breanna, who works close to us, will be keeping the show running every day, back at 3pm PT. They will be compiling selections of highlights with a few small trinkets and treasures added.
Fangradio will also be presenting some guest DJ’s on occasions, kicking off this Thursday afternoon (Friday morning for you antipodeans) with a show from my good friend, the gracious and gifted Johnny Marr. I’m looking forward to that.
Stay tuned good folk
Neil
my prayers were answered
Hi good people, I hope you have been tuning in to Fangradio when possible. Here are two videos from the past week to show you where we are, what’s happening, how this is working. It’s an unfolding story, an evolution that’s keeping me tuned in and tuned up. Glad to have you with me.

Hi there,
I‘ve been a bit quiet lately on account of being buried deep in songs and recording, which I guess you might have guessed, and after all, when the music is playing, that’s how we truly stay in touch. However, I am aware that I start many other endeavours (e.g. my “regular” newsletters, Fangradio) with a great sense of purpose, then fall off the pace, leaving me with a sense of letting people down. I think you are kind hearted and patient, so I won’t remonstrate with myself over this too much, but just giving voice to slight feelings of inadequacy.
I hope everyone is staying healthy, not panicking nor sleepwalking through life. The world is going mad but it always has, we just keep watch over our day, in our own place to make sure we don’t miss the chance to help and make beauty known.
Love from me
Neil ( bluesman ) Finn
We have been watching closely what is unfolding in Australia and are very upset to see our friends over there and their community suffering from the effects of fire and smoke. A calamity for the wildlife too. Hard to comprehend the scale.
We had the smoke hovering over Auckland too, a reminder of how vast this problem is.
I am directing some money towards the fire services and support networks and hope you might be motivated to lend your support too.

Hi there ,
For those of you who celebrate Xmas and those of you who don’t, I will be having a Xmas Fang Radio session coming up this Sat weekend around 1 pm PST. I may even remember to leave my microphone on this time. So much has happened this last year and much of it was inspiring and heartwarming, I am currently engrossed in preparations for a new Crowded House album and pretty jazzed to be going out on tour next year for that reason.
I am aware there are some people who find Xmas a melancholy time of year, important people who are missing, and individual struggles that seem to run against the grain of goodwill to all men. I get it and have a few sad little gems to play that might give some small comfort. I'll be wearing no novelty Xmas jumper, in fact I’ll be wearing nothing. Thank goodness it’s radio.
Hope you can tune in.
Neil
UPDATE: Xmas Fang Radio is available for replay now. It features Christmas music and chats with Crowded House’s Mitchell Froom, Liam Finn, Elroy Finn and Nick Seymour.
