Newcastle Jam was a studio remake of a song made up by the band on stage in Newcastle, Australia, earlier in the year.

“I remember that show being a specially good Crowded House show. Just a top night in part because we’d been for a swim at the beach at Newcastle. I always thought that that’s a fantastic thing to do before you go on stage, to all take a swim in the ocean together. We wrote that song on stage and attempted to make it into a passable studio track”
