Berlin & Amsterdam

Last night saw Neil and his magnificent band perform in Berlin. They play Amsterdam’s Carre Theatre tonight. Gotta wonder if this song from Crowded House’s 2010 “Intriguer” album will get an outing.

Love Is All That Remains

A while back we uploaded Neil’s 2001 demo of “Time On Earth” – the song that gave Crowded House ‘s 2007 album its title, although it was left off that album. Here’s another previously unreleased song from those sessions recorded at Roundhead at the beginning of the millennium. Neil performed this in Dublin last week by special request: “Love Is All That Remains”.  The demo features Lisa Germano and Sebastian Steinberg.

Hear more demos and previously unreleased goodies in The Kitchen Sink I and II, only at neilfinn.com.

Nottingham and Cambridge

Nottingham Post – Concert review here.

Thank you Nottingham, Cambridge and all those who came to see Neil and his band play in England, Scotland and Ireland. Neil returns to the stage in Cologne, Germany, on Wednesday.

Cambridge was treated to a partial performance of “Spirit of the Stairs” – its first appearance on this Dizzy Heights Tour. Here’s a live rendition with backing from Liam Finn and Bic Runga in 1998.

London

Neil Finn plays Festival Hall tonight in London. Can’t wait to see what gets played this time. Even “Edible Flowers” got an airing the other night – the first time Neil’s performed it without Tim. Here’s the original.

Cork

A three hour show last night in Dublin! And a guest appearance from fellow Crowded Housemate Nick Seymour!! Hard to top, but you know Neil’s always up for a challenge.

Update 4/5/14: see photos at http://thethinair.net/2014/05/in-photos-neil-finn-w-tiny-ruins-cork-opera-house/

Here’s Bob Dylan’s “She Belongs to Me”, which Neil sang last night. One of thirty-one songs in the setlist. This version by Pajama Club was recorded in 2012 for Amnesty International’s Chimes Of Freedom.
