“It takes a tongue-in-cheek jab at apathy and indifference. David Hidalgo on accordion was known to us through his work with Mitchell, mostly. Los Lobos have worked with Mitchell Froom who suggested him. When the idea came up for accordion, he came down and found it quite difficult because it’s not an easy song. But he ended up playing beautifully on it, so it was really great to have. He’s a great accordion player and he’s got a fantastic voice too.”
