The Forgotten Millions Gala Dinner – Auckland 10/10/15
Join Rachel Smalley for a fabulous night of entertainment, fine food and fundraising to benefit the millions of innocent people affected by the Syrian conflict. Experience an exclusive performance by Neil Finn, hear Rachel’s tales of travels through the Middle East, and take part in live and silent auctions with exclusive, money-can’t-buy items.
Over 13.5 million people are in desperate need as a result of the Syrian conflict, including 6.5 million children, more than the entire population of New Zealand. It is the biggest humanitarian crisis of our time.
The numbers are staggering. Behind the numbers lies the human tragedy of the Syria crisis, because for every adult, every child affected… there is a face, a heart, a loss, a dream, a story. There is someone like us.
Money raised at the Gala Dinner and Live Auction will support World Vision’s lifesaving work response to the crisis.
Since the Syrian conflict began in 2011, World Vision has responded to more than two million people affected by the conflict. Food for those who had little or none. Additional clothing and supplies to stave off the harshness of winter. A better supply of water and improved facilities for sanitation and personal hygiene. Healthcare for new mothers. Safe places where children and youth can, for a time, escape from the trials of being uprooted. Opportunities for children who cling desperately to a dream of being educated.
Join for a wonderful evening and help make a tangible difference.
