Don’t Dream It’s Over (live) – Humanitarian Aid
I have been distressed to see so many innocent people become victims of war in Gaza and Syria. A few weeks ago I received a message from a man on Twitter drawing my attention to the lyrics of Don’t Dream It’s Over and how fitting the sentiments were in relation to these people’s suffering. It got me thinking and I took that as a timely cue to put my song to work for a year to assist in humanitarian aid for those affected. It seems like the least I can do. That song has been good to me and I hope it can do some good for others for a while.
This is a live version of the song recorded and filmed on my last tour. I edited the video myself. If you wish to download the song for NZD $2 or more we will ensure the money gets to Kia Ora Gaza and The Red Crescent Appeal for Syria. I have researched the many worthy organisations that are working in these places and chosen these two that I believe to be effective and focused.
Thank you.
